Subjective Knowledge, Intuition, Insight, Noesis, Gnosis, Nous

Subjective knowledge isn’t “real” knowledge yet, despite all the claims of the “spiritualists” and “new agers” etc. Mere noesis/gnosis, nous, intuition or insight of the subjective knowledge is not enough to qualify for “real” knowledge yet because it comes from imagination and creativity of consciousness, and is only an internal “ring” towards some concept. It can be very true, but, it is an alleged “knowing without knowing” ability, but that is not enough to constitute “real” knowledge. Sometimes these inner insights can be incorrect, but it only resides in your mental world, not expressed yet for it to exist in the world apart from your mind, as “real” knowledge. It is only a mental image in you, and you may not even know enough about it to explain it, nor understand it deeply enough yourself. It is a peripheral awareness that can bring you to deeper awareness, if you consciously choose to develop it. It can be the spark required to get to a deeper understanding. Run with it internally to develop it, but don’t run with it externally and proclaim it as a truth to others when you haven’t even spent the time to verify it yourself.

Often times, the insight or intuited concept is an internal awareness of the bigger picture (forest) without the detail and clarity of the attributes (trees) to explain it to others. Sometimes, these insights of alleged knowledge turn out to not be so correct after some verification. If however, you have subjective knowledge and can objectively explain it to others so that they understand and confirm it conceptually as a thought experiment or directly in their own experience, then it becomes “real” knowledge outside of yourself, almost as an object morphing and changing as it propagates, because it can move throughout all of humanity that comes across it. It is not just inside you, it becomes a part of the outside and becomes real for others. If something is only existing inside you, it isn’t very “real” or useful to anyone else. It only exists in the world of your mind, and in no one else’s world of mind through the shared medium of the external world to connect and share our mind awareness.

The propagation of a meme does not constitute its veracity and much falsity gets propagated as well. These are mind-viruses that infect many people. Subjective knowledge is hidden internally, and needs to be verified with discernment, evaluation, analysis, distinction, differentiation, critical thinking, and conscious awareness in order to get to the particular details that comprise the whole. This way you can explain it to others so that they understand, and you also understand more at the same time and verify the insight’s/concept’s integrity through more correspondences, or discover its disintegrity and eventual abandonment of being correct to believe in.

When you convert the subjective knowledge to objective knowledge through a process of verification and description for others to access, then it becomes “real”. It goes from the internal subjective mental imaginal understanding, to the objective verified knowledge that can be understood by others and exist outside of yourself. Simply sharing the information you have inside of you doesn’t make it “real”. Sharing falsity is not “real” knowledge. Sharing a concept of imaginal possibility is not “real” knowledge either. It must be verified first by yourself, understood as authentic and substantive, and then it can be shared to others as “real” knowledge. Failure to apply a verification process merely constitutes information that is being shared, but not “real” “positive” knowledge.

e.g.

If you get an insight, let’s say 2+2=5. Is this actual knowledge, or merely information in you that is false? If you do not verify this, and propagate it, you are propagating false information as ignorance, not knowledge. Simply acknowledging, being aware of, or declaring a falsity does not constitute “real” knowledge. It is actually false or negative knowledge, not “real” knowledge. Verification of information, from external sources, or internal “nous/noesis” is absolutely required.

Finding the particulars, attributes, aspects, qualities, characteristics and properties to uncover the details and clarity of other concepts is a process of conscious awareness. You become more consciously aware of reality. Insights have less conscious awareness of particular aspects of reality, but more of a snapshot grasp of something. It is often a holistic big-picture view but can also be some particular aspect of reality, that can be correct or incorrect in its conception. The larger view becomes refined, detailed and in higher definition clarity and quality when we add more of the attributes, properties, etc., more trees to the forest, or leaves to the trees, etc. Conversely, clarity of the forest big-picture can also give you access to details of the trees that were previously unseen or indistinguishable. Your image is either cloudy and confusing with contradictions, or it is clear and visible detail to understand. This is how the general process of figuring out reality works, i.e. getting to truth. This process is in more detail in the Trivium method, but the method of how to think, the way to think, can be developed without any knowledge of the Trivium or other specific methodologies. I learned how to think this way on my own before I was introduced to the Trivium, and many other people also figure this out.
